Crew member from downed F-15 jet ‘safe and sound’ after rescue in Iran, Trump says

 

Crew member rescued: A missing US service member whose F-15 jet was shot down over Iran has been rescued by US forces in an operation that involved “dozens of aircraft,” President Donald Trump said. He added that the service member “sustained injuries, but he will be just fine.”

• Threats exchanged: Iranian military officials warn the “gates of hell” will open for the US and Israel if infrastructure strikes continue, returning Trump’s threat to unleash “all Hell” if Tehran does not make a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz by Monday.

• New attacks on Gulf states: Fires were reported in Bahrain and Kuwait, while the UAE said it was responding to a missile threat.
